At all a bug is noted after 3 days and listed. I will not blame someone, a bug can happen, but unbelivable that people wasnt informed about it. Last week we had some other bugs, and it took in all 7 hours to shut the grid down, and 3 hours again to fix this issue. We lost alot of Items, because they show up inworld as full permission object. What we could do, was only to lean back and lock our parcel or entire Sim/Island. But at least we noticed there was something wrong and could work with it.
Since Friday we have a other bug, I call it Inventory disease, Items disapear randomly from your Inventory and there is no way to come out of this. Oh wait, sure it is, place your Item on your parcel or somewhere and relog, grab your item back and it got remind in your Inventory ( please dont do this, because it didnt work in all, let your object inworld if you really want to keep it ).
Server still up but bug noted. So why you dont shut down the grid ? There are a lot of Questions and Answers, even if they make no sense in all. Perhaps one of the reason could be, that not all Player got involved, it isnt a World wide problem.
Seriously, if something happen like this, it shouldnt matter if ALL people got involved or just a tiny percent. Bug is Bug !
We all know, money and items having no value, if we read SL TOS and honestly it doesnt bother me. Said in my bug reports, on blog and Answer Forum, i lost over 25k items and if we would see it with money over 200k and im pretty sure, it was more. I dont think we get the chance of a replacement. And EVEN this doesnt bucks me. Read on .....
As i said, i lost also alot of money out my sales, iam one of SL buisness people and we have to deal now with angry customers, they didnt belive this bug or flame us for problems like this. Again i can live with this, its a hard time for all of us, and this stress could be lowered if someone would do something.
This is the point, its unbelivable and completly beyond the pale, not one Announcement, not really one argument from Linden Labs to please their residents, not one Server shut down. Threads gotten closed - even without answering ! blog was posted, all replys wasnt read or even a statement here, like "yes its a important bug, and we look into it" guys honestly this is a message you could type in 2 mins at least, that should be worth to do it or im wrong ? Bug Reports send to nowhere. No response on this too !
Atm it looks like an Tornado, Land and Existenz get floated and all what we have is one little thing we can hopeing for, "send us Vendor ID, Object UUID, clear your cache and relog" GUYS please how we could get an object UUID when this object disapear, maybe im dum but there is only one way, right click on this object and asset UUID, if this works, I will not discuss at this point, all people can find their answer if they try it out
Vendor ID, maybe im wrong here also, a Vendor ID shows up, when you are the owner of one of these Vendors, If you are not, and not all people use Vendors that are able to do it, then you will never recive a sale mail....
clear your cache is the next joke, why I shall clear my cache if its a Server or Database Problem and not a Problem on my client ? Forcing people to clear cache and relog, is on the same way worse as reinstall. At least you can keep 2k items, if you dont do this!
Atm i have a lot of my items back, i dont know why, but i have em - still missing my new Items i bought over the weekend, and still missing 13k money...
It cant a way if Linden didnt react or something, guys you will loose a lot of paying Residents, not a blame also just a fact, can you really live with this ? Or do you want to deal with our Customers ? I dont think this, so please shut the Server down, fix this damn problem and we all can be happy. Sometimes it can help if you would listen to your players. We have other hobbies as to blame or correct Linden Lab, and honestly i even didnt like to type something like this, but i have to when i sadly realize there is not one change after 4 full days.
And it also cant happen, that we have to send our fav. Lindens a Email of course they react then, and a big Thank You at this point to be so professional and still friendly
But this cant be a WAY ! think about this, and maybe we get something changed.Update :
Linden Lab set this bug to highest priority. So we can see something goin on, but at least this is what we wanted, get informed and workin on it. Thx Robin for your statement, but still we see some missing points in Linden Labs Service that should be fixed asap also
