Failed to find clothing

Hi together,
after the database grid troubles (and client crashes) yesterday, I have lost an item of my inventory. To point out, it's still there, I can see the entry in my inventory but it is not accessible, e.g. wearable. I always get "Failed to find clothing named Olive Vindi Suit Pants".
Well. Everybody who is corious seeing me without pants in my underwear is still out of lock because I have a backup suite.... :-)

The main question therefore is, does someone else experienced an inventory loss the last day/night or did something like this happen before? ( After the grid crash and cleaning last autumn, someone might remember - But mine is more related to the database problems yesterday). As I remember I have worn these pants, so unused stuff lying in your inventory shouldn't be affected. I vaguele remember that situation happened as this. I tried to change my pants slightly, saving failed silently because of the db troubles, and after I needed to re-login because of minor rendering troubles *magic* my pants weren't there anymore :-(.

To fix this by myself i will ask the creator vindi vindaloo to give me an additional copy otherwise my favourite suite would be incomplete. I would be red of shame and therefore really hope no friendly linden comes to the idea to resort my used (and - beware- probably stinking ;-( uah) ) pants of their carefully organized backup tapes. That's not worth the issue.

But to have a look under what conditions a saving to the asset database might fail silently though the entry in the database is still there, could be noted for the future. Well, this sounds really like internal database issues.

Leff.

Sometimes items go bit wierd in database, you should send in a bug report with the item you are missing, along with the uuid for faster finding.

right click on the item you have difficulties with > right click > copy asset uuid

Report it missing along with the uuid
( something like : 7d536978-xxxx-xxxx-4786-502ab630434d )

Thanks for this, but I forgot to mention that the only menu items that are accessible for me are the "Inventory Item Properties" with proper values, open, rename, delete and wear. "Copy Asset UUID" is greyed out and therefore not accessible, open and wear give me the error message. It seems that the store access during the database issue last day left a half table entry in the database with some values but with no uuid-key or content data.
It could have been possible that failing transfers between a sim and the asset database might have occured in bursts with more failed transfers yesterday and left all these items in a corrupt state...
Anyway, if this can happen on occasion, well, thats technology.
And if no one else is affected, then these are good news. :)
