I have had a number of problems, some of which seem to have arisen only since last Wednesday's update, and other which have been a problem for some time.
*the edit bars aren't aligned with the handles...I have photographs showing them a long way away from each other - and both of them way off centre of the prim/s I am editing
*edit handles disappearing...just as you want to pull something down, the blue handles disappear etc
*the selection problem for small prims is still in operation, where the edit tools block the prims you want to select
*the glow on the selected object sometimes obscures the alignment you want to make, entirely
* using numbers is not a cure for this as there are still seams and gaps appearing even when perfectly aligned by number
Having made my necklace and bracelet, I find there are other problems with the way things are atm. The necklace disappears unless you are within a metre or so of my avatar. When walking, it trails behind my avatar, even though I have done my damndest to attach it to immoveable points.
So...are other jewellery and small prim makers suffering similar things? There doesn't seem to have been a lot of discussion recently. Cali

From: Caliandris Pendragon When walking, [the necklace] trails behind my avatar, even though I have done my damndest to attach it to immoveable points. This is a side effect of the new attachment culling code. Turn up your avatar detail in Preferences and the problem goes away.

From: Caliandris Pendragon *edit handles disappearing...just as you want to pull something down, the blue handles disappear etc I have noticed that the blue / yellow highlighting of linked sets in edit mode tends to be inaccurate when highlighting a large linked set (>50-100prims) - some prims do not show up as highlighted even though they are part of the linked set. This bug likes to happen when I have checked and then unchecked the "edit linked parts" button. Is that what you are refering to? From: someone *the selection problem for small prims is still in operation, where the edit tools block the prims you want to select I thought that was supposed to be a "feature" - it irks me to From: someone *the glow on the selected object sometimes obscures the alignment you want to make, entirely The glow can be a bit "too much" sometimes but I have found that zooming in real close (with alt-zoom) helps seeing things a bit clearer. From: someone * using numbers is not a cure for this as there are still seams and gaps appearing even when perfectly aligned by number Depending how small you're building, the number tools might not be accurate enough. Under a certain size, I have to adjust manually because 0.001 is just so big! (for example when trying to align cut and tapered torii) From: someone Having made my necklace and bracelet, I find there are other problems with the way things are atm. The necklace disappears unless you are within a metre or so of my avatar. When walking, it trails behind my avatar, even though I have done my damndest to attach it to immoveable points. I haven't observed those problems at all, but I have the "av detail" and "object detail" sliders all the way to the right.
