Problems with Prem.account by buying Land

I have an paid and valid premium account till april 2008. But i have downgraded this account to basic account which will be also on April 2008.

Now, when i want to buy land....mainland or PRIVATE too, i get an error message, that there is no buying possible because i have initiated a downgrade process finished april 2008.

I think it cannot be that i have to wait now nearly one year before i can buy Land..inspite of having an paid and valid premium account. And how could it be, that inspite of not needing a premium account, I can not buy private land???????

I have sent email and support ticket to Linden Lab but still no answer.

Can anyone help me what to do or know smilliar problems?

OMG I just had this same problem myself about a month ago. Downgraded my account cause the covenant in my area said I didn't need to be premium to buy on private land, and then got that same message when I tried to buy the land next to mine.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a solution. I ended up having to call LL four or five times and get the downgrade canceled. I talked to both the seller and the estate manager in the meantime and they were very supportive. The seller allowed me to make the purchases by paying him the required amounts and then the tier was paid to the estate. When the downgrade was actually canceled the estate manager set the sale price to $0L and fixed it so only I could buy the land because I had already paid for it in full.

If the other parties involved in your transaction are willing to work with you, you should be able to do the same thing. Once you finish your purchase, you could always restart the downgrade process. You would be able to buy private again once the downgrade is complete. The system only seems to want to prevent transactions during the downgrade.
