Distorted Graphics

I currently play SL on a Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop... Most people have that type of computer. It has windows and internet explorer which are common yet when I play, my avatar is all distorted. My skin colour keeps changing, my clothes change, and it's just all messed up. Sometimes my face looks green and my legs skin colour! Can someone please help me? I have a normal computer so don't other people have the same problem?

I also have a Dell Dimension 2100 Desktop. It won't let me play on it because all I have is 24 bit colour but it is a fairly new computer... 3 or 4 years old. So I don't see why it wouldn't work. Is there any way I can get 32 bit colour on it, or do I have to buy an entirely new computer to play the game?

If it doesn't work on either of my computers, which are commonly used computers throughout the world, what kind of computers is Second Life made for? I'm just really confused. Please help.

Just looked up some info on your computer, its because you're using the Intel Extreme graphics wich is unsupported by Second Life. Only 2 brands seem to work well enough with Second Life to be considered supported: ATI and nVidia. I'd look into buying a new videocard, actually if its like 3 or 4 years old it might be worth upgrading your whole system.
