Quicktime Media Streaming and You...

I have a few questions about how the QuickTime Media Streaming is implemented.

I have a few ideas and I want to implement them if possible.

1) I want to play my media at certain times of the day whether there is anyone there or not... I would rather it NOT play if there is noone there, but that might be even MORE difficult.

2) When my media is playing, is there a way for it to appear the same to all audiences? For example, if someone comes in in the middle of a 10 minute media segment and starts playing the media, is there a way for it to start in where everyone else is in the segment?

3) Is there a way to use several different segments on the same property, or is there only one segment per property?

4) Is there a way to make the media play for everyone in the room at the same time? Like a permissions management thing? I know some objects when you hold them or whatever, they ask for permission and in my case it would start the media for everyone attending at the same time.

5) Is the media streamed for EACH PERSON, or is it streamed to the texture one time, for all to view? This sort of relates to #2.

The reason for this is because I have a stream built for my property, but the bandwidth will only allow for one person to be playing the media at any time without hitting my bandwidth ceiling...

Anyway, if I didn't make myself clear, please ask questions so that I might clarify. I want to do some amazing things for my visitors, but I need to know what I'm up against. :)

2) Set up to use a playlist ythrough Darwin. Instead of rtsp://foo.com:554/bar.mov, use rtsp://foo.com:554/bar.sdp, and set up the 'bar.sdp' playlist in Darwin Admin to loop your video.

3) Chop up your parcel into multiple parts, then you can specify diffeerent media on each. But you lose dwell since it resets when an AV moves between parcels.

5) Media is streamed to each user' computer. It goes directly from you to them, and has nothing to do with SL's servers.

Trying to run streaming server from a cable modem is rough to the point of just don't do it. More headache than it is worth.
