I noticed a couple of shoutcast streams that support AAC+. Unfortunately, Those streams don't work within Second Life. Is there any chance that support for the AAC+ streams would be added in a future update?

You should post this on the Linden Answers forum to get a Linden answer. I'd like to know, too.

The SL viewer doesn't really support streams at all. It merely passes them on to the appropriate 3rd party player app. In this case, QuickTime. So, if QuickTime supports AAC+, then it should play them.
What specific problems are you encountering? |

Well, I dont hear the stream working when I play it within the area that I rent, All my other streams work that are normal mp3 shoutcast streams. But when loading a shoutcast that is using AAC+. It wont play them, It works on Winamp, And it wont play on Quicktime. Heres one of the streams Im trying to get to play within SL. http://etn.fm:8200/listen.pls |

Aye, that's because QuickTime does not yet support AAC+, and that is what SL redirects all streaming audio/video to at the moment.
So, basically, either you need to convince LL to add in support for redirecting streams to external players other than QuickTime, or petition Apple to hurry up and add AAC+ support into QuickTime itself. |
