I have two video cards in my PC Matrox Millennium G400 (16MB) on my AGP GeForce FX5200 (256MB) on a PCI slot
I have the GeForce FX5200 attached to my primary monitor. This way SL will display on that monitor using that card.
When I go to Preferences - Adv. Graphics The only option available for Graphics Card Memory is 16MB
Is there something I can do to make it reflect the Memory I have available on the card I am using to display SL?
I have unchecked the "Enable AGP (faster if using an AGP graphics card) because I want it to use my PCI Video Card not my AGP.
Do I need to change to an AGP card that is supported by SL eventhough my PCI card runs SL?
Thanks in advance, Isit Okey

I fixed my problem.
There was two things I did. 1). I went in the BIOS and changed to have the PCI as the initial start up card.
2.) Based on a post in another thread I uninstalled Second Life.
So after I rebooted my machine after the BIOS update I reinstalled second life.
Now I have all the video memory options available under Adv. Graphics.
I still have the choppy movement in-world but I think that is because my GeForce FX5200 can not support the graphics smoothly. My ATI Mobility RADEON 9200 on my laptop performs with good smooth movement.
I am thinking a good decision would be to replace my Matrox card with a new AGP GeForce 6 or 7 series.
Thanks, IsIt Okey

SL performance is two staged, one is the processor and memory and a distant second is the video card. An Nvidia 6600 or better will give you good performance but only if your CPU is relatively recent and you have lots of system memory. Putting a 7800 on a 1.2 Duron and 256 meg memory is not going to help much so keep that in mind.

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.83 Ghz) with 1 Gig of RAM
Not the fastest horse in the stable but she will get me there.
I hope that the Video Card upgrade will get me what I need to see performance I like.
