Well, I was hoping this new update would resolve my issue, but nope. Its almost been two weeks since (which will be tmw) I couldnt get back on to second life since then. So since the update around the 11th of july I could not get on. Again Let me summarize my problems, for kicks I guess because there is no way I can get help on this apparently.
1. I get a msg saying my clothing is still downloading.
2. After that msg is closed out everything on SL lags to the point were if I click or type anything it takes 10 seconds or more to appear on the screen.
3. I cant walk.
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a pentium M processor. It runs Windows XP Professional with Service pack 2. 512 Mb of ram. Its Graphics card is a NIVIDIA GeForce FX Go 5200 resolution im using is currently1024 by 768 pixels. It runs a wireless net, but it NEVER had previous problems before the time It updated around july 10th or 11th.
Anyone else had problems since that update? Or am I the only one? Is LL working on this problem I hope? And lastly can ANYONE help me? I have Cleared cache, reinstalled sl many times. I adjusted the graphics settings like crazy with sl and also waited for updates, hoping that it could clear it up for me. sooo help? ;o;

I know this sounds goofy but I had similar problems in the past (maybe 6-8 months ago)and resetting my wireless router and cable modem cleared it up. Don't know if it will work but it is worth a shot.

Really? Ill give it a shot, couldnt hurt right? Theres a back up switch in the house which turns off the cable alltogether.. im thinking maybe if I just reset it. It might work  ill give it a shot. Expect a return post, in the event it does or does not work |

Trouble with Inspiron Laptop and SL

I've got a brand new Inspiron E1705 and am having the same problem. Can't walk forwar and backward. None of the searchs find anything. Virtually no network activity after kind of a partial initialization after logon.
Help! The Inspiron was supposed to be THE SL laptop.
Thanks for any insight.

Cant help yah with that one ;.;. My laptop never had any previous problems untill that update two weeks ago. I dont think its a connection problem.. but I could be wrong. As far as the firewall goes, it needs a new subscription so I dont think it IS on.. but I could be wrong and it might be blocking sl. Thing is I cannot adjust its settings till I resubscribe.. gotta wait for my father to do that, he is the one who got the subscription for me
