Any Ideas? Are you having the same problems you've communicated to Support previously? You had described a large electrical noise coming from the speakers before the entire system locked up solid. I'm still worried that the electrical sound in particular might suggest a hardware failure as opposed to a software problem.
That board is a MicroATX board, so you're using a small form factor case. With a 7800, four sticks of memory, and two 10000rpm drives, there could be definite heating/airflow issues. You'd mentioned leaving the case open allowed SL to run significantly longer, which seems to strengthen that argument.
We've gone over a few other things... the motherboard's an ATI chipset, and we hear about compatibility issues mixing ATI and nVidia components now and again. The entire package is all brand-new components, most of which have not been explicitly tested with one another. Mostly, though, I worry about the 7800 in a MicroATX case; I haven't heard from anyone who has tried that.
I'm open to suggestions from the community. I just thought everyone would like some of the information we've already exhaustively covered over the past week or so of trying to fix this over the phone. ;^)
