Login Doesn't Like Me!!!

For the past few days, I get in the logging-in process and get up to "Connecting to World." I guess the client/server/Comcast doesn't want me to play!!! "Baby needs to suck ash!" ~Stewie

I have, just now, crashed 6 times in a row while trying to log in. I'm going to try rebooting. If that doesn't help, I'm going to find a brick.

i have tried a few times this am. I get hung up on connecting server - got past that once and bounced back to the sign in page shortly after. I am on a mac and just got a software update to 10.3.9 - and was wondering if this had anything to do with it?

While we're looking into a few issues this morning, Meatwad should check any firewalls that might be running (including Windows Firewall), and change the login location.

Including Windows Firewall, NO firewalls are running! It's really frustrating because I can do anything on the net, BUT no email (comcast account using Outlook Express) AND no SL! Whaam I going to do with myself? Also, I have a NETGEAR 108 mbps Wireless PC Card WG511T with Comcast internet if that helps. I've rebooted and everything. Even with whatever they did today, I'm stuck at my first post! Any tech wizzes out there able to help me?

Just to throw another hat into the ring -- since yesterday I haven't been able to get SL to function. It does log in, but as soon as it does, within 10 seconds or less, it freezes immediately. After the last upgrade, I was amazed at the improved performance. Screaming fast rendering and consequently in navigation. Huge difference in all the right aways. But something seems to have changed in the last 48 hours. No joy.

Anyone know what's up?

Your crash logs indicate you're using S3 graphics hardware, which isn't compatible with Second Life.

There Is Not A Day Go By Since The Upgrade I Haven't Had A Crappy Ass Time Trying To Log In. I Have Been Told To Uninstall Old.. And Install Current... I Have Done This....... Now Againnnnnnnnnnn After Being On All Morning... Without A Problem..... I Get A Message There Is A Newier Version And I Need To Download It......... Wtf Is Going On??????????

Thanks, Lee. I'm going to have to buy a new card. The VIA/S3G UniChromell Graphics drivers on this one choke on the draws. The computer's only a few months old, but the card is a piece of crap. Amazing I've been functioning at all. Bought my son's PC at the same time and put an NVidia in it, and can't believe the difference between the two of them when I log on. I can just scream through the world on his PC. Almost picked up an ATI for mine, but understand they don't play nice here either? So guessing I should stick with the NVidia when I upgrade mine too.

The Computer Parts Stores must love all of SL .... look at hopw much money they are making from us .... with all the upgrade stuff we need to buy and get for this program .... gotta put a little humor in this ... i know i have mass stuff on lay away .... for my comp cuz cant afford it ... so put little down each time ....

I'm in the middle of downloading the update now, crossing my fingers that something was fixed so I can get on! 5 Days... no SL... starting to twitch... SEE?!?! My eye is having spazms and I can't stop smiling from being a crazy monkey!

I can now log into SL! Thank you for 1.6.3. It had been nearly 48 hours.

The weird thing was, I could log in with my alt, but not my main account. I suppose I should be thankful for that, but it was a little annoying all the same.

Anyway, things are working again. Thanks, LindenLab!
