Crashing after few minutes

I have a serious issue running SL. After I log in and start to use SL, the program crashes in 2 or 3 minutes. What could be going on?
I use Win Vista, Radeon 9600 VideoBoard and 1,5Gb Ram in a Pentium 4 - 2,4GHz.

Pleeeease help me!!!!

Does the system seem to be overheating? Before I upgraded to a video card with a dedicated cooling fan, SL was overheating my system, causing numerous crashes. Make sure your fan is working, vents are clear, etc.
