Why do the voices I'm hearing sound like they're slowed down?

When I use the voice feature, my voice sounds fine to others, but the voices I hear sound like a 45rpm record played at 33rpm. In other words, the voices are lower pitched than they should be. The pace of the speech seems normal, it's just the quality of the voice that is not right. Any idea what I need to adjust? I've looked all over the forums and have found nothing about this. I have adjusted bitrate and a few other things, but to no effect. Thanks.

I have had this issue before using Teamspeak. In my case it turned out to be the audio drivers. They were playing the sound back at the wrong sample rate. Try making sure your sound card drivers are up to date.

Also, depending on your sound card abilities, it may ship with 'enviroments', from Drainpipe, to concert hall... each of which make adjustments to the waveform.. check you aren't using an EQ/Environment settings. Aslo check you havent made any adjustments to a graphic equlizer that maybe shipped with the sound board.
