So, lets see if i am even able to describe my problem lol
When i am logged in i will sometimes lose contact with SL, either completely or i can recieve information, but not send.
Either
a)That is, i cant move, chat or click anything, but i can read chat and when someone logs on i can see that they do and i can see things move, like for instanse timers. I can also hear radio streamed trough SL.
Or
b) Above, pluss, i cant read chat and things stop moving. But i can still hear radio stream.
I assume that this is a network thing and not a problem with SL.
However:
I am still connected to the internet, i can chat on skype like normal, i can surf webpages and check and send mail. So it seems to me like i am kinda "halfway" connected. When i am in SL i usually only run Skype and Norman in addition to SL.
Then lately when i have tried to relog i get the errormessage that i am unable to log in because the loginpacket wasnt received my the package server. This goes on for 10-30 mins, sometimes spiced up with the errormessage that You need an account to log in to SL.
Its kinda frustrating.
When this happens i have 0% on packetloss in SL and 0-30 on bandwith. The odd thing is, sometimes it corrects itself within a couple of minutes.
So, it should be a network thing?
But since i can actually do other stuff on the net (and fast too), i wonder if there is someway i can give priorty to SL? So that would be the last place it took bandwith from whenever that went down (if that is my problem)? I have a pretty big line, and usually downloads things really fast, so this is why i am a bit puzzled by this.
I run Windows XP on a Dell Dimension DM061 (Pentium (R) D CPU 2.80Hz, 2GB RAM
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE Videocard.
My broadband is 10Mbit/s for download and 6Mbit/s for upload. I would think it was plenty.
Anyways: Sorry if this was a bit confusing, since i dont know whats really happening, its kinda hard to explain it. But if anyone has any ideas as to what i can do. I have of course tried different viewers already.
Thank you in advance.
