Vanishing avatars

From time to time while Im online avatars disappear and I can only see their attached prims.

Logging out and back in generally fixes it.

I have an nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4200

It happens occasionally, no need to log out though, I've found at least 3 ways of curing it ...

1- Change your active group. ( if you are a member of more than one group )
Right click your AV select Groups... make another group active.

2- Ask the invisible AV to go into appearance mode for a second or 2.

3- Ask the invisble AV to sit on something.


All 3 solutions will flush the AV data on your client and cause it to become visible.

Just to chime in - I've experienced the same behavior. I never used to up until a few weeks ago - now it seems to happen every day.

Yes - switching my active group to something else, then back again - seems to resolve the problem (temporarily).

I've also submitted a bug report on this. I encourage others who experience this behavior to do the same.
