No copy objects disappear if available prims too low

I wonder if anyone else has the following problem.

If I try to rez a no copy object on my land but the available prims are too low, it renders invisible.

It is not returned to my inventory with a message saying it couldn't be rezzed, as I would expect.

The reason I figured this out, or at least this is what I think is happening, is because I seem to have an invisible puppy running around SL somewhere. I get messages that he tries to enter parcels now and then that won't let him. He was auto-returned to my inventory once. Both times I tried to rez him, he started to appear almost, but never appeared & never showed up back in my inventory, but still sends me messages.

If he is returned to me again, I will test my theory to make sure this is what is happening.

Is this happening to anyone else? Or does anyone know what might be going on here by what I've described?

Make sure you test your theory by

a) also trying to rez the puppy in sandboxes or land areas where object creation/move is allowed and the avilable prims in that area is HIGH

b) same as above, other places in sl that aren't your personal land, where the available prims left for that land area is very LOW

If I get the puppy back again, I will definately try that. I don't mind trying this with the puppy, because I believe I will eventually get her back.

However, I hesitate to test my theory with other no copy objects because I'm afraid they will disappear forever :(...

Thanks for the suggestions.
