I assume you are talking about the directory used for saving snapshots to disk. I think that the snapshots will be saved in the initial directory chosen during a session of SL, with numbers added to the name you supply to distinguish individual snapshots.
You should get a chance to change the snapshot directory and filename when you restart SL. _____________________

Personally, I would like to be able to change the directory that each snapshot is saved in ON THE FLY. For isntance.. some snaps are taken because I think the clothes are cute.. some are landscapes.. some architecture cool builds.. and I save them on disk that way... but I need to go to windows to manage them the way it currently is set up.

I use CorelDraw's paint program, which has the nice option of being able to create an image file from an image stored on the clipboard. So I just do a PrintScreen and that saves the screen image to the clipboard, and then go to Corel's Photopaint prgram and do a File Create New From Clipboard. It's ready to crop, resample, and convert to a jpg file that way.
A screen capture program, which can be found for free, might also suit one. The site nonags.com is a good site to get free software at. There are a number of screen capture programs available there. The url for the screen capture utilities is http://www.tusafe.com/nonags/grcapt.html. If that doesn't work just use the search nonags and put in "screen capture" as the search term. _____________________
