You can still take no copy, no modify textures and make a skin out of them and get full permission skins you can pass out to all your friends or even sell them if you wish. I send bug report after bug report after each update but nada.. not even a "we are working on it" or "it's not a bug, its a feature".

LL handed out $10000 L for permission bugs a little while back, how about tossing some of that cash towards the merchants who are reporting bugs and getting screwed over?

Word from the developers is that this is as designed. If you wish to sell your skin in a form that cannot be transferred, you should sell the skin itself, and not the texture.

Oh, I do now....

But ya see, if this is as it was designed (which is assinine) Second life should, like, have informed folks that this bug...err feature was implemented and a warning given. Newbies are making this mistake all the time just as I did.

I am also curious about the added feature of losing the creator information on skins I do make. I'm sure that is a designed in goodie LL spend 15 months in development and 20,000 man hours to implement to enhance our SL experience.

Oh, and I am not pwned, I am being hornswaggled. It's likely a design flaw that would require far too many resources to fix so it becomes a "feature". Of course they had too many resources devoted to the development of the "nobody" functionality. Then there are the other designed in features of the game like the camera jumping, the inventory twitching, the prim resizing when shift drag copying, the dissapearances of inventory items and the ATI crash feature that I'm sure big money was spent to put in the game.

Funny thing is, not that long ago it was "Phillip is working on it" to its a "design feature" over the course of a couple of updates...

Hmm, you pass them a texture with limited permissions, and you're seeing copies running around in the wild owned by other people? Sounds like people are opening the texture on their screen, maximizing the texture window, and taking a screenshot. It may be the case that opening a no-modify texture is impossible... in which case they're putting it on the face of a prim and taking a screenshot of that. How can you expect LL to prevent this?
