Chat is cut off each time someone buys something from me

I am having an awful problem and have looked everywhere trying to solve it without any luck. I'm not even sure how to phrase the question in order to search for an answer.

What is happening is each time I am talking to someone and someone else buys something from one of my stores, the "sell" popup comes on. My chat cursor will then skip off the chat window (this happens whether I am using the window at the bottom or in the history box). I then have to reclick on the chat window where I was talking and it takes me back to the very beginning of whatever I was saying so then I have to scroll through my whole sentence to find my place to keep on talking. This is very very annoying. It never happened before until this last release. Can someone tell me where to go to find out how to fix this?

Lauren,

I wish I could help you with an answer for this.

It must be some small consolation, though, that your life is being made difficult because people are constantly throwing money at you!

This used to happen to me on popups, but hasn't for a long while. I am using the newest build of Nicholaz's "old school" (pre-voice) viewer, it could be that he fixed something. However, nothing in his change log jumps out at me as relating to this.

In any case, when this used to happen to me I did find that the "end" key works to move the chat (and IM) cursors to the end of the line. May help a little.

Lauren, I have the same problem since the last release. It is VERY annoying!!! It's not just when someone buys something, it's for any pop up. Someone gives me a picture, a notcard, any kind of pop up does it. It does the same thing if I'm typing in IM at the time the pop up pops up.

concur! :0 s'very annoying, and -not- just for sellers, but for tipjarless situations where dancers/hostesses need to keep apprised if someone in the room just tipped them (so they can graciously thank them).

(only option otherwise is to disable money notices in the 'general' tab of 'preferences.)

Because Lauren helped me with my texture purchase issue (see! customer service does pay off!), I searched around and finally found this bug in Jira. It is VWR-2327. I inserted a comment pointing to this thread, but someone who is repeatably experiencing this should edit the bug description to describe the cursor issue in more detail.

Also, if you are concerned about this you should vote for the issue. Please ignore the instructions below if you already know how to use Jira.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
The JIRA login page is at https://jira.secondlife.com/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fjira.secondlife.com%2F secure%2FDashboard.jspa

-- If you know the bug number (like VWR-2327), then enter it in the "Quick Search" field in the upper right of the JIRA screen.
-- When the bug description comes up, look on the panel on the left side of the screen for the section called "Operations" (probably the last section)
-- The last item in that section should be "Voting". A single click there will register your vote. The page will change to indicate that you now have voted for this bug.

ALL DONE!

-------------

The next time you log into Jira, you will see a set of links on the entry page like this:

"My Unresolved Reported Issues | Votes "

Click on the "Votes" part of the link and you will see the status of all issues you have voted for.

Also, whenever you're looking at a bug description, in the far left panel you will see a line titled "Votes". This is the number of people who have voted for the issue, and if you click "View" there you can see their names. So you can IM your friends who haven't yet voted to do so
