Can't get person to move. Help Please!

Ok, I just started playing Second Life, I just created my person but I can't figure out how to make them move. Please Help!

Hey Dempsey, a warm welcome to Second Life and the SL Forums. Are you stuck on Orientation Island? You tried pushing arrow keys and it isn't working? How about VIEW menu > MOVEMENT CONTROLS and pressing those arrow buttons? Or, if you right-click on another spot of ground and select GO HERE from the round menu that comes up, what does it do?

I started playing the game on Monday, June 19. I could play it just fine during that day, even part of the night.
After getting out of the Island, I've been walking around some place called Isabel InfoHub, checking out a few places nearby.

But then, on Tuesday, June 20 and today, Wed. 21, got the same problem: I'm stuck. Can't move anywhere, just rotate in the same place.
I've tried all the generic solutions given at the board, the help system, and the wiki, and none of them work. I'm not a newbie when it's related to computers and related stuff, so I know and I can tell you for sure that the problem is not related to my computer, operating system (xp), firewall, or internet connection.

The movemento controls don't work, I can't fly, not even teleport, sit, or use the "Go here".
When I try to chat, the text does not appear in the screen or the chat history, so I cannot even try to get help from anyone that's around.

It is annoying, I like the game and I am willing to pay for a membership and become more active and involved in the community, but I will not do that if, from my first three days into the game, I could only play the first few hours, and all the rest of the time it's been only frustrations so far.

Tech guys: is it possible that, if the people who are stuck, tell you their exact location inside the game, you could check out what's going on?

Is there any other option to try that is not the typical-generic-for-newbies one?

Try clearing out your cache before you log on. It's under preferences and network.

Thank you for your input, but I tried it and didn't work; that was one of the first things I tried.

As I already said, I've tried all the generic solutions given at the board, the help system, and the wiki, and none of them work. The one you're saying is one of those kind of solutions.


Sorry if my words seem to sound a little harsh, that's not my intention; but it is painfully frustrating to see that after two days of trying out everything, I'm still stuck in the same place.

UPDATE:
Seems to be working again right now, and I did nothing. I got a lot of lag, but that should be a temporary issue.
