Let me start to say, that i am not wery good at english, but i will do my best.
I have just downloaded Second Life today... It keep writting:
"Second life is unable to access a file that it needs. This can be because you somehow have multiple copies running, or your system incorrectly thinks a file is open. If this message persists, restart your computer and try a again. if it continues to persist, you may need to completely uninstall Second Life and reinstall it"
I have tryed to reinstall it 4 times and it did not help.
Does somebody have an ide on what happend???

Tjenare , : p Well one way to "fix" this is to make another login account on windows , since SL so dont like special characters. control panel / user accounts , and make one with only one name and no special character ... wonder if you can just change the one youre using to lower "provide a new name for your account" ...eh yeah i wish SL had better support for special characters, ~.~ Worst case you need to log in another account just to even log on SL ~.o SL need to allow people to put cache manually other places, putting installation / cache on the same place or 1 setting for each ...not Documents ~.~ exsample F:\secondlife F:\secondlife\cache

My username in XP is "Martín", and I have the same problem. I'll try to create an alternate user.
