Second Life Crash

Ok,

My First Issue: I log In, Walk around for about 2minutes. Screen Freezes. No error Message, Nothing. Just freezes. Happens every time I log in.

Another Issue: When i log in. If within that 2minute span, I happen to click 'mini-map'. Boom, second life closes, and again no error message.

Another Issue: Inventory = Gone. My whole Inventory has disappeared, I know this should be fixed, but i thought I'd mention it.

I've been a member since 11/17/06 and this hasn't happened once
(Except for inventory Issue)
I'm Also on a new computer, but i played successfully yesterday.

If anyone has any solutions it would be greatly appreciated if you could respond to these issues.

-NOTE- I did clear my cache (If it's important)

1.Yeah, I get that freeze all the time, I tend to think its firefox causing it for me. Or some other program that uses a thread that SL wants, like sound, cant get it. Crash.
2. Cant tell.
3.Never lost any Inv. Sometimes it is not here or not complete. I just ignore it and its there next time.
4. Yeah. I can log on now, come back later, try again and it freezes.
5.I have never cleared my cache but im using linux.

It still didn't solve my problem, you didn't give me any Instructions on how to fix it.
If anyone else can give me some advice?

My main problem is with my map, every-time i click it my second life CLOSES automatically.

-UPDATE- I can now log-In for more than 2minutes, i just can't do anything. -FOR EXAMPLE-
If i press to buy something, sit down, teleport, etc... My second Life freezes.

sorry bout that. If you still got problems;
Turn down video settings in SL preferences before logging on.
Turn off all programs that you dont need. i.e systray programs. all. except for virus and firewall. Can probably leave the clock. Definately that sidebar thing if you got it.
make sure to have the latest video driver for your system. Try lowering some values in the video control settings. Try a beta version. Try a earlier version.
Check net speed at speakeasy.
Set profile for SL. someone else answer that please.

Hi Cris. Had any luck yet?
Going by the small number of respondents, half are having the same trouble.
Extrapolate that and we have half of the total of users of SL not able to get it working.
THIS is a problem.
Im a linux user for 7 years, so I dont know the ins and outs of Windows. But somebody else should!

Lets help Cris get going people.

Please give us some machine info. Like.
Vista or XP+SP2
PC type, cpu, ram, video card type size and ram.

Can you run SL from a terminal/command line on windows?

Cris: can you stay in SL long enough to click Help at the top, and then choose About? Then cut-and-paste the system info you see there into a message here. It will tell us everything we need to know about your system.

It is hard to tell what is actually happening from your posts, because you have listed so many different symptoms. Are you using the same computer for other things without any problem?
