Hi,
just wanted you to know that there have been some issues in the new update. I have seen IMs going to wrong people, radar screen not working, and landmark inventory not working.
thanks,
larry

Err.. I had none of those bugs...

What I did have was a multitool that wouldn't shut up about agents - even swarming my email... and taking it off had no effect. Weird.

From: Santon Oki do all of u lag? wen playin SL Short answer: yes But there are many reasons why you could be lagging. These range from PC issues and bandwidth to being in a sim that's full of avatars and/or scripts and/or badly rendered textures. Your level of lag might not be the same as someone elses. Kinda hard to answer with so little information.

screen resolution
07-19-2006 15:26
anyone else noticed odd shifts in screen resolution in this new version .... I'm normally on 1280x1024 in full screen but it looked like lower ... not really 1024x768 but somewhere in between. Noticed the music and video controls were off center too... about a fifth of the screen too far right. Switching to lower res and back didn't help.
For the specialists: GeForce 6700 XL with 128 Mb (Medion comp)

From: Santon Oki lol k thanx. will it stay the same? can i change some settings ingame to make it faster? That my new forum friend is the $1 Billion Linden question. There's no telling. The "PC" answer is to say oh but of coures it will be fixed! Is why the grid is down. The "Realistic" answer is to say: we just never know, hold on tight and pray for the bestOnce the grid is back up and things are settled, then you can do some things to see if your lag is your own issue or shared. Give it a day or 2 before you drive yourself nuts trying to fix something that might not be your issue, but a server one.

For the specialists: GeForce 6700 XL with 128 Mb (Medion comp) might be part of the new scalable UI feature, a friend had some fuzzy text and did some adjustments and set it all back up to be 'right' before grid was down again.

As a photographer ... anyone else don't like the new snapshot interface ? not a prob, might not be a fix but certainly a point in a direction where it could be. I played with the snapshot features in PV and didn't care for them much. But I'm used to the same way for the past almost 3 years now. I can see the benefits, and I don't mind the change. But i'm not a photographer by trade. *shrugs* take it or leave it at this point i guess.

I am not able to test it, but is the grid working? Are there any issues still?

*cries* What happened to the texture selection menu? Each time I want to change a texture, I end up in the root folder of my inventory instead of having the current texture selected.

The Landmark menu in the map seems to be broken. The list that show in the drop-down menu is no longer in alphabetical order and bears only a passing resemblance to the list of landmarks in my inventory. So I'm reduced to going to my inventory when I want to use vany of my landmarks.
Also.... deleting items from the contents of a prim (using highlight + hit the 'delete' key) has a really annoying habit of deleting the container prim as well.

I was fine until 1.5 now its difficult to even log on anymore. Its all lagged to heck. I have no packet loss and my connection and drivers are fine for sl. The clothing doesnt even download. I propose a rollback also to like 1.5 until these problems with the current updates can be be debugged for the most part.
