i ran a search to find info on this and even e-mailed the support team, i will be upgrading to a laptop that has a geforce 7300.
the specs of the laptop are:
windows xp
1gig of ram
2.3 gigahurtz (i think ^.^; )
geforce 7300 vid card (not sure on it's ram)
will second life work on this laptop?

It definitely will run, and probably passingly well, but don't be fooled by the "geforce 7300" name. 7300s are significantly less powerful than any other chip in the geforce 7000 line... some speculate that they're the rejects that couldn't be made to run properly as normal 7000 chips due to manufacturing defects (this is a common practice in the computer industry). The 7300 is significantly underpowered, and consequently very cheap, compared to other 7000 chips. I would expect that most 6000-series nvidia cards would outperform it.
That said, there's nothing about it that will make it not run SL. It'll probably run fairly smoothly.
