I fess up Im a newbie ...smile Im not all that pc savy however can get by..smile
I updated my radeon 9600 SE driver as suggested and now SL tells me my driver is out of date. ( I ignore it) In order to function I have to turn off my antivirus and any program running. When I do freeze up my pc totally shuts down. I have 512 memory and have a AMD athlon xp2600 processor Sorry I dont know how to check the temp but I do have a large cooling fan  ANY help will be gladly taken! Thanks |

I'm having memory issues when running SL that sound similar to your problems. I have an AMD XP 2700 processor and an ATI graphics card 9600. When watching the task manager it goes over 350MB of ram then slowly starts to crash. Do you have any of these problems?

try drivercleaner, remove everything that has ati, reboot, download omega drivers
