Tori,
Did you enter the "-port 13011" in your second PC's SL shortcut?
If you do a properties on the SL launch desktop shortcut
It reads something like this:
Target: "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe"
You should change your second PC to read:
Target: "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe" -port 13012
That takes care of 99.9% of the problems.
Just remember to do this after every SL software update as the shortcut gets overwritten.
There are couple of forum messages with a little more detail on the matter.
If it doesn't work, let us know.

Another suggestion... put a bullet through the Linksys and get a D-Link or something like that. I had the exact same problem with a Linky router, and replacing it turned out to be the best fix. Hopefully Tito's suggestion, as the less expensive option, will do the trick, though.

Graduated from DSL to Cable Modem huh? Congrats! Anyways, take my advice if you dare... It sounds like your Linksys is a bit on the older side... As with most DSL connections, a username and password is normally required to authenticate the connection. It was probably configured for PPPoE for the DSL connection... And has most likely been switched over now for use with a DCHP server (dynamically assigned IP addresses). Whats this all mean you may ask? Well, it means that you may need to upgrade the firmware of your router to the latest revision to support the DHCP connection to your cablemodem. Firmware is software stored on a chip which is soldered into the routers main board... Goto the Linksys site ( www.linksys.com) and see if theres a firmware update for your make and model of Linksys router. Make sure you use the information on the bottom of the router and not the box! There are many different versions of the router firmware and it would be bad to upgrade it with the WRONG version! I am willing to bet that your DSL worked just fine, but now that you switched to cable, the firmware needs a tweeking! Odds has it you have never upgraded the firmware of this particular model I love being the PC Support Dude

- T - 50% of all problems with routers in general is fixed with a simple firmware update. 25% is port related issues 25% is the experience of the operator configuring the router

Unless you are using a Motorola router, which is 100% junk or the Netgear WGT624 which is 110% junk. Both suffered drop out problem, funny the new Linksys worked flawlessly right out of the box. YMMV
