Well,
My home is gone, my store is gone, my vendors are no where to be found, furniture I purchased just lost into the ether, and all they can tell me is it probably will never come back. Nearly a year of hard work just lost by the Lindens and they offer me $15.00 as my compensation.
I hear this is happening to alot of people lately, has it happened to you? Please post a reply here so we can organize and compare notes so that something will be done to repair this. How can an economy function in SL if things just go away after hard long work? How many times must I pay my builder to replace what has just gone away?
There are other virtual worldsd out there, might be time to consider options if this doesn't improve and proper compensation not offered when their server destroys your second life.

llBackupInventory()?

They don't have backups of the assets?
Then I want llBackupInventory(string email_address);
I don't care if the backup is encrypted and takes a Linden to intervene to restore it, if they don't have good backups I want to be able to make one myself.

If you have things you'd like to backup, make a storage locker... in a sense. No kidding. Rez a prim on safe land that you own or is otherwise reliable to store stuff on and won't be returned, and then dump a lot of copies of your things into that prim. You can even do it with multiple locations. It's not as good as a total "peace of mind" backup, but in the meantime, it's useful.
Unmitigated, did you also already clear cache? Sometimes I get schtuff that's "stuck" and doesn't show up, and I have to clear cache to make it show again.
