My main account gets blocked from logging in at the log in screen; my alt can log in even though he uses the same password. Of course, there is no after-hours support for this situation. Any suggestions?

I have the exact same problem. :(

Error box at login is:

Login failed.
Please make sure your Caps Lock key is off, and
that you have the correct account name and password.

I'm sorry to tell you that makes me feel better.

It wouldn't let me change my password because it said the current password I provided was wrong.

Now I'm waiting for the email I need to reset a password when you've forgotten it.

That's so weird, I have the same problem right now. I crashed, and can't log back in, but my alt with the same password can. This happens occasionally, but usually waiting a minute or so and then trying again works, but now it's been a while and still no luck....

Looks like we all got the same bug.

My alt has a different password and can log in.

I can't log in to world, and when I go to log into the help area, it logs me in as Giannia_Rossini Rossini.

Do you get this too?

Instead of the Caps Lock message, I got one that said they made some system changes, and I needed to reset my password. Great. So I did. And I still can't login. Back to the caps lock message...

UPDATE: Ok I got in. I followed a suggestion in another thread: At the login screen, change your starting location to Ahern. It logged me in and said the area was unavailable, and just TPd me somewhere randomely, but I can get home or anywhere else. I tried logging out and then back in, and it works now.

So you did do a password reset? Did you also try clearing your cache?

I dont even get the reset mail back...
And nothing on the blog about any password changes, something that surely would be a issue...

I'm in.

I couldn't reset my password from my account, but at secondlife.com/password, that worked. The link in my email didn't work, but pasting it into the address bar did.

It's true, I am starting to think they do these things to test how the rats react when deprived of their expected reward.
