Hello,
I can't find the sl cache on my pc. The path indicated in preferences says 'C:\Documents and Settings\<my user name>\Application Data\SecondLife\cache'. When I try to follow this on the pc I only have 'C:\Documents and Settings\<my user name>'. There's no Application Data folder in <my user name>. Also when I search for 'cache' there's no sl cache found at my pc. The problem that I'm trying to solve is whenever I have a lot of different textures around me I get stuck after 5 min of play. My HD scratches like hell and even the slightest turn of the camera takes several minutes of hard work from my HD. When I clear the cache and relog I can move fluid without any problem at all.. for 5 minutes and then I'm stuck again. (In the statistics bar I can see this happens whenever my GL Mem reaches 275-300) Turning off both firewall and anti-virus made no difference in this but when I go online with my mac-mini I do not get stuck, so it must be something the pc does or doesn't. Any thoughts on this may help as I'm having difficulties to understand what is happening.
Thank you,
Enktan

Depends on which OS you have. For Vista the path is:
C > Users > <your name> > AppData > Roaming > SecondLife > cache
In order for the folder AppData to show up (or Apllication Data in XP) you must make sure that hidden Windows-files are set to visible. In Vista you must open any folder, than choose Organize > Map and search options. One of the tabs has a list where you can set visibility for hidden system files.

Ok now I found it, thx. Still I don't understand why I can move fluid when the cache is emptied and once it seems to be 'full' I'm stuck..
