A new neighbor moved close to my land. All day all I hear in shouting from the Tringo Game. I shouted back once, "Could you stop shouting, my ears are hurting?!?!?!" But nothing came of that.

I tried checking the box to restrict spatialized sound to my parcel, but that's only for actual "sound" I guess. What can I do? This is rather annoying to me, my guests, and customers.

Contact your neighboor and ask him/her to remove the shouting and if that doesnt work i would file a abuse report.

After it shouts again do the following:

Go to chat history (ctrl-H)

on top of the history box you'll find the ability to mute persons -AND- objects :)

Find the tr/sl/whatever - ingo in the drop-down menu of recent chatters

Mute it.

Done.

If you ever want to play the game with the neighbours again, remember to enable it again :)

Thank you for that info!

I actually have one of those shouting SL-ingo games on my land and didn't realize the neighbors could hear it till I was visiting them one day and heard it myself.

Is there a way to completely shut off all shouts you receive?

Or maybe that could be an option to add to game in future releases. Cause I know in a few places people use something called a loudspeaker and use it for their whole conversations, it gets quite annoying.

What would you guys think of a feature request along the lines of a land option to prevent shouts (or maybe even chats) from leaving the parcel in which it was turned on. This would, I think, be great for a number of events - not just tr/sl-ingo.
Thoughts?

That's an excellent idea! I can see with private islands where clubs host events and the owner wants the advertisements or announcements broadcast all over the sim. But it's unfair to residents to have their chat history cluttered with Tringo shouts and other people's affairs which they are shouting back and forth.

If I have a business and customers come to MY LAND which I paid for and pay a fee for each month, I do not want them being confused, bothered, or driven away by non-related chat.

We should definitley be able to disable outside shouts! Another option is to add an LSL function to only shout within the owner's parcel. (llShoutHere)

Just some ideas. But I think the easiest and most effective will be to allow an option from the About Land window to Mute Outside Shouts.
