Earlier this month, my partner and I purchased 20000 sm of land in Larsen for about $1300 US. It was great, and we've built a nice RP area, only now we can't use it. In a smaller parcel in the same sim, a resident has set up "dance pads", which are similar to camping chairs. Lots of them. Typically they can have 20 to 30 people in the sim using them at once. So basically, I am stuck with $1300 US gone plus a tier of $125 US a month for land I can't often teleport to or even move in so my neighbours can pay noobs 3L per 10 minutes to up their hit count.
So the technical question is, how am I supposed to function like this? There is no warning that your land might be suddenly useless less than one month after you purchase it. Nor do I see that in the terms and services. I have filed an abuse report, but really I might be forced to cut my losses and leave SL before tier kills me (since putting up vendors in a place you can'y move is out of the question).
Is there some way to deal with lag from neighbours running upteen scripts?

I did address this with the land owner and pretty much got met with even more camping chairs. My only possible solution is to gather up the $500 US it may cost me to buy the person out.

Been there, done that. The Lindens really can't figure out the concept of fair distribution of sim resources when it comes to avatar usage. I ended up selling my land and moving to a much better sim. Actually, I think LL likes the idea of mainland resource hogs so they can sell more islands really. They apparently couldn't care less about this problem.
