can anyone advise on whether this is SL or my drivers.

i run 2 graphics cards, one AGPand one PCI. the cards are matched cards (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE), made by the same manufacturer.
when i start SL it tells me that i am running in PCI mode.

the reason i think this is SL is that none of my other 3d apps have this problem (Lightwave, other 3d engines, games, etc.)

if your monitor is plug in agp video card, its simple click in agp mode in preference and ignore the pci message, but is your plug your monitor in your pci video card i recomended plug you monitor in the agp video card and set this card in primary, and them set agp in preference
enjoy :)

have just tried disabling my 2nd monitor (PCI) then launched SL. the warning was gone as there was no PCI enabled but there seemed to be no difference in performance. SL should pick up on my AGP as being my primary card and ignore the PCI. not many people use dual-monitors so mabye SL just notes that there is a PCI card there regardless of whether it's primary or secondary monitor (Win2K by the way).

You might also check your BIOS. Often there's a setting to destermine which is the default graphics card. Make sure it's set to AGP.

I agree, most motherboards I have seen default to PCI first, most defiantly check this out.
