As mentioned in the 1.5.14 preview release notes we have begun the work to ensure that regions are always allocated a processor of same or greater speed when it restarts.

Be aware that this is only the preliminary work which enables functionality. We do not have the facility set up to reassign your region faster hardware out of the assigned pool, such a pool does not exist yet.

So we ask that you please hold off on contacting us to request that your region be moved to faster hardware; with no pool we lack a system in place to handle such requests. Pool assignments will happen in the next few weeks.

This should not be read as a lack of understanding about your level of desire and possibly frustration; we do understand and the fix is almost in, please be patient.

- Preliminary work to make sure that each region is always assigned to a server with the same processor speed. This will resolve variations in region server performance after we restart the server cluster. We have not yet assigned particular regions to particular servers -- this will happen in the next few weeks.
