I've searched on the forum and really haven't found the answer. I need to know this because of a new product I'm launching. I've actually reached over 6,000 but they were copied items (actually textures) over and over which had the same key.

I know around 300 or sot it get's real hard to edit and look in the contents.

Does anybody know the real answer? Please help...

There appear to be LOTS of "missing" number type factoids in SL.
For instance... if you up someones profile and try to drop a folder on them... what is the max number of items that folder can contain before you get the error message,
"You cannot transfer that many objects at one time"

I started poking around and 30 seems safe.
Now why you would want to transfer 6000 or even more items to a box is beyond me but I am sure you have your reasons. :)
But yeah.. there should be a listing somewhere of these "Limit" numbers.

The limit USED to be 255, but I hear that was since changed to something called "infinity".

I personally just would keep it to a nice 255, just in case things go wonky.
