Due to some things thats been going on lately; Im starting to wonder if I possibly got a stick of ram thats given up the goodfight. Is there a software way to test a stick in the machine or do I need yank it out and take to a tech.

Get yourself a linux "Live CD" like ubuntu. That will come with MemTestx86, which does a *very thorough* memory test.

You can also get Memtest by itself, without having to use a full Live CD: http://www.memtest86.com/
You can download an .iso image that you can burn onto a CD with your CD burning program. _____________________
