ok im new here havnt even been able to get iw everytime i go to log on or even just click the logo it comes up with error saying my screen needs to be 34 something but i havnt got that on my puter but says it will run anyway then i click yes to carry on and then it just closes the log can anyone help me oh and if ive put this in wrong place am sorry lol

Right place.. Could you copy down the error message so we know exactly what it is?
What operating system are you running?
Do you have your computers specs?

Second life requires true color (32-bit)to run a window please go to control panel>>>Display>settingand set screen to 32 bit color Alternatley, if you choose full screen, second life will automatically adjust the screen each time it run thats the error message the puter ive nto got a clue got it built for me  does i mean im not gna get in

Icebabe, try this. Close or minimise all your windows so that you can see the desktop. Right click on an empty area on the desktop and select "Properties" from the pop up menu. This should open a "Display Properties" window. Select "Settings" on the tabs along the top of this window, and somewhere on that page should be a box marked "Colour Quality". Change the settings on this to "32 Bit" (might be called "Highest" or "True Colour" Apply and Ok these settings and you should be good to go. Hope that helps!

More likely if you are seeing that error your video card likely isn't good enough for sl. are you using a laptop? If you do meet the minimum then you likely need to update your drivers. SL is very sensitive to outdated drivers. That includes motherboard, sound and video.
Posting the specs of your computer can make things easier for us to help.

well i dont know my specs of my puter wish i did coz least id know if its crap or not lol but i dont coz was built for me !!!  no not laptop but i guess will have to go buy one now or just a brand new puter me thinks lol if your ideas dont work thanks for help if dont work hope to see ya all in future

nope didnt help color thing only gotes up to 26bit on here so guess have to wait til santa buys me new puter shame tho  thanks again for help
