I'm considering moving one of my island sims but before I do so I have a couple quick questions. My line of thinking is that since all sims have the same coordinate numbers just different names, that moving a sim will not change the landmarks associated with them. Is this correct? Also, would placing two sims together create extra lag? I guess this question doesn't make a lot of sense, because there would be added strain to load the textures off of both sims if someone has their draw distance set to a high number. But other than loading textures, would the lag sort of remain within each sim? I dont' know if that question makes sense. I guess what I'm looking for are any concerns I should be looking at when pushing two or more sims together in respect to performance. Thanks for any help

Landmarks are bound to the sim name so moving it wont change landmarks. Reason why some dont choose to set theirs sims togeather is to avoid rendering the other other sim if its in view, so having 1 next to eachother and your draw distance is far youd be rendering other, a lone sim on the other hand can usually max view distance without chocking, tho content will usually kill it... who thought we actually would make content on our sim huh. These will see eachother and have a boarder (sim1)-(sim2) This one wont see eachother ever (sim1) (ocean) (sim2)
Sim that doesnt have any neighbours can usually have a much longer view range on those without dying, but eh -.- SL rez is so slow right now i can count prims rezzing.
