I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere.
I am having real issues with my university in them not opening up UDP ports.
The latest information they ask is for which connecting IP are used for SL. I'm assuming they wish to tie the openness down to those IPs?
Any help appreciated.

Doubt they will open the ports for you , but unless they do you wont be able to connect Firewall-router setup permit tcp any any eq 443 permit udp any any eq 12035 reflect outbound-SL permit udp any any eq 12036 reflect outbound-SL permit udp any any range 13000 13050 reflect outbound-SL

Do you know which IPs are used, apparently they may consider opening the ports to defined IPs.
Thanks.

Ip is gonna be kinda tricky as each sim, or every couple of sims is on a different server, and may have a different external IP to you.
Your probably going to be best off speaking to LL Support about this although how much they will tell you im not sure.

A quick lookup of Linden Lab at http://ws.arin.net WHOIS lookup shows that they have the following IP ranges. If you only open up to these addresses, things should work and still be relatively safe Linden Lab NET-BLK-LINDENLAB (NET-209-237-226-192-1) 209.237.226.192 - 209.237.226.223 Linden Lab INAP-SFO-LINDEN-0260 (NET-66-150-244-0-1) 66.150.244.0 - 66.150.245.255 Linden Lab INAP-SFO-LINDEN-0959 (NET-69-25-104-0-1) 69.25.104.0 - 69.25.105.255 Linden Lab INAP-SFO-LINDEN-2098 (NET-72-5-12-0-1) 72.5.12.0 - 72.5.15.255 Geoff.
