Who turned ON the lights?

Last night, I was chatting with a friend while sitting in one corner of the new Kitsune Valley sim. It was night time in the sim, and nowhere near dawn or dusk. Suddenly the lighting went to full noon levels, everything at max illumination. It stayed that way for BOTH of us for 30 seconds or so, then went very dark, and then resumed the normal night cycle.

Two independant accounts, not alts of each othere or in any other way related. Neither of us was fiddling with the lighting settings, and both of us experienced the same thing.

What happened?

this happens when you get near or pass the sim boarder right? I've experienced this myself, basicly the sim is set to always be at night and your client is compinsating for the rest of the sims being day. Just a little theory of mine.

We were near, but not on, the border between Kitsune Valley and Wolf Valley. Both have normal day/night cycles, as far as I am aware. We were both seated in Kitsune Valley, and not moving. The sim border was maybe 8 to 10 meters from us. I've sat there many times, and never had that happen before. The area has been stable so far - no shifting items or unlinking issues or script problems that I have heard of.

Could the sim owner have done something odd to cause that? The sim's still being built up. I suppose if she was experimenting with locking the time of day to one setting or another for her sim, that might have done it. But AFIK, she has no plan to have a wierd day/night cycle there.
