ok i know you guys are probebly gonna hate me cause im sure the answer for my question is in the posts somewhere i jsut didnt understand or i just didnt see it. but trust me i looked. any ways i too like so many others would like to do the dj thing, and if not dj'ing just have music running on my land for friends and what not.

Right now im currently set up with shout cast and im running a station right now over the net. i have a few listeners from time to time mostly just friends. But for some reason it wont play over my land. and wont play for others. so is there somthing else i need to get ingame or otherwise.

Also if i wanna dj on some one elses land what things would i have to do to get set up.

also ya my spelling and grammer suck so sorry lol.

You have to use the right sort of link - you need the direct stream-source URL, not a link ending with .pls or .m3u. (Get your stream playing in Winamp, right-click the entry in the Playlist and pick "Info" - use the url from there)

As your friends can hear the stream over the net already, it's not going to be the old shoutcast favourite of "trying to host a stream from a 192.168. LAN IP" :D
