I can't log onto Second Life. Whenever I try, it says, verifying protocol version, and stays there. It works down the street on their Wifi, but when I plug my computer into the internet, it won't work. Any suggestions? Please, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Please.

The login server thinks you're connecting with an outdated version of the client. Delete everything and download the install file from the website again. That should clear whatever odd setting is causing your problem.
