Hi ,

i cannot login in SL and get this Message

Login failed
SL cannot be accessed from this computer


last night i can loggin without problems and today ???

someone has an answer ?

just the same with me, perfect last night and this morning same error BUT can gat in with lapptopp and W-lan....evrything alse works fine just f..... sl again

I read here on the forum about a similar case where the person who had this problem used a router and could log in from one PC but not from another one she had. This means its not the IP thats blocked by the Lindens, since all PCs that are connected to the same router share the same IP.
My guess is, that then Lindens blocked some MAC adresses by mistake (thats the address asigned to ethernet cards and Wlan cards).
So the only solution would be to either wait until the Lindens fix this problem, or use a different network card.
Disabling the SL clients hardware detection at start might be worth a try as well.

Maybe someone should tell them some manufacturers are using the same MAC address for _all_ their cards (yes I know they aren't supposed to) ...

Call billing. That's what I did. Give them you MAC address and explain the situation. It will eventually be worked out. But it appears to be a billing issue because of fraud concerns..
