Aww... I had to upgrade to Windows Vista. Now I can't play.

Due to work I had to upgrade my system to Windows Vista. This caused a total of one of my programs not to work anymore, Second Life.
When I try to start up it gives my the error "Second Life is unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed"

My system is using a Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express.
It worked without problem on Windows XP SP2

Anybody got an idea how to get it to work again? :(

Vista+Intel Video+SL=No Go (typically). Intel video is not supported, it's not designed for any real gaming application. If you have an available PCI Express slot in your system a vid card upgrade would greatly help.

I know... Just find it weird that a newer screen driver for the Intel Screen card does not work. Might be going back in a couple of months to Windows XP.
Unfortunately this laptop is my only system that I have. I have to use it for work and leisure.
Sorry... No PCI Express port available.
Maybe Intel should smell the roses. Systems like laptops have to run graphic intense applications. Even Windows Vista and Office 2007 is geared towards more graphics and more animations.

Someone could suggest something technical like having XP and Vista on the same computer, or Linux maybe?

Vista is more graphics hungry than XP, combined with a Intel welded graphics chip to the MB stealing system memory.... You could try maybe installing XP on a HD partition, and running it from there.
