I am having a hard time staying in SL today. When I log on there are distorted colors popping up everywhere and at a fast pace, what is that?
Secondly, I am crashing every so often. My screen freezes up like i am lagging but never comes out of it. Then I hear a beeping sound and the screen goes totally black and turns off for a moment then comes back on with distorted colors all over the place. Then, I relog to find the same thing happening. This is the first time this has ever happened to me.
When the system crashes it has an error that states:
VPU recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands.
Then sometimes when I log back on a message come up saying that SL doesn't run on 16bits. So, I go and change it to 32bits like it is suppose to be.
Please help me troubleshoot this problem.
My graphics card is Radeon 9250 which is supported by Second Life. I have had an account for more than half a year now and today this problem occurs. Oh I feel defeated, I even did a system restore and that didn't help.
Please please please help me with sugar on top and a cherry

sounds that your graphic card is about to give way. try opening up your pc casing, take out the card, clear it of any dust, check for any burnt mark(s), insert back & get latest driver update.

Try disabling Open GL Vertex Buffers in preferences. Got rid of the problem for me. Just something to try.

idd, sounds like ur gfx card is about to give up
are u rinning it overclocked? if so, return back to normal settings
when it`s running, have the case open and after 2-3 minutes touch the card, if u burn ur hand the card is over heating check for dust, burn marks and defenetly check if the fan is working

fast moving distortion sounds like distortion, i recommend better cooling or under clocking.
