Corrupted Skins Etc

When I logged in tonight, my avatar's appearance was ruined, a mess of 3 colors gone haywire. It goes away if I change my skin, clothing, and eyes... and while I can possibly deal with not wearing a certain corrupted outfit (as irritating as that may be), I absolutely cannot deal with being unable to use the set of eyes and skin that I ALWAYS wear. I have additional copies of the skin, but they are ALL corrupted now apparently. I tried deleting the eyes and buying the exact same ones, but they are still corrupted when I wear the new set. So I figure attempting to replace the skin with the same one would have similiar results. What can be done about this? (and before anyone suggests, yes the avatar vector thingy is turned off and I restarted SL several times!)

That might help, but try clearing the caches first. Less drastic, and sometimes helps, especially with corrupted texture issues.

I cleared the cache last night with no change... re-installed everything today and it seemed to fix the corrupted skins, but it did not fix the eyes... very strange.

It's SL folks. I have had clothes corrupted, skin corrupted..prims corrupted..

1. Changing sims sometimes works when putting on clothes/taking them off.

2. I've went into appearance and changed my skin tone by 50 points, saved it, come out of editing to see it fixed. Then I went back in and changed it back and it was ok then.

3. I've logged off and back on to find the prims i wanted placed on where before they weren't showing up.

Anything else others have tried that seem to work would be great here !
