I'm sure they added that on purpose. I think it's a shadow or something. I agree it's actually less readable now. Congrats Linden on successful lowering of usability.

That half baked online report blog is nothing more then a place to post problems that is looked at once then "IF" they feel its worth doing. WHy couldnt they use their resources more effective then that? |

The blurred text for systems where it looks like mine is not a minor problem, it's pretty much a showstopper. Where the blur is effective, the text is COMPLETELY ILLEGIBLE. It's not just an esthetic preference. I suspect a high proportion of new users with no emotional attachment to SL would see no reason at all to stay in a 3D chat program that can't display legible text.
Folks writing scripts that use llSetText or llSay, shout, whisper, or IM to communicate with their users should take into account that such means of text display are broken. _____________________

SL chat ability is way way way behind any chat program that is more customizable , this shadow doesnt help trying to read at all -.- , option to disable/change it please :>
