Editor bugs destroying hours of work

After linking a large building into several linked sets I wanted to move the whole building a few meters, wagt happened ?
Suddenly during movement all parts lost their relative positions in the linked set, messing up the complete building !
This happened 5 times within the last 3 days, making building large structures a 'try and error' game - took me hours and hours to correct the things after trying to move or rotate them.

Using 'selelect texture' and after this 'lock object' has the following effect:
I select one face in a linked set, appy a tetxure scaling change or a new texture, go to position tab and lock the linked set - booooom, the last change I made on that single surface is applied to the complete linked set, destryong all tetxure work - I already had to correct large linked sets after changing a value on ONE surface 3 or 4 times over and over again - grrrrr

With an editor like this it is nearly impossible to build large structures or a whole sim, you work hours, all looks fine, then you need to apply a little change and all the work is destroyed ?

I not need new 'features' on and on that no one has asked for but some Lindens dream of they are 'nice' - I would prefer that the bugs are repaired - anyway, an editor that 'does what it wants' might be a good example for 'artificial intelligence' - but it is carp and just useless.... like this I am not able to stay in the time frame for some buildings I am sdoing for others that I have promised that things will be ready - by now the crappy editor destroyed days of work within a second and i am far behind any promised time scale :/

Please, before adding new silly unneeded 'features' - go and repair the core parts that are needed.

But hey, I think the time I've saved by not having to search for hours where I should click to chat (with the handy message it displays now) more than makes up for issues like this.

In all seriousness, I'm sure it's on their to do list, but just do your texturing work after you've built.

In all seriousness, a way to select two points and have them "snap" together would be nice, but I'm sure the Lindens are working very hard on the every day problems, and it's on their to do list.

I hadn't talked in sl for months until they directed me to the chat line!
