Whats changed?

When I first got my laptop it played SL ALOT better than I thought it would just because I didn't think it would to good since it was a laptop. Well everything loaded fast i had about 15-20 FPS everywhere I went. But it has all changed. On most stuff on low I have 7 FPS max but normally around 4-5. I have reformatted my computer multiple times since than. I have KasperSky on my computer and run a scan every day. I have everything closed when im playing second life also and my packet loss is low. I have even updated my Video Card driver straight from the official website in the 3 days.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong with my computer or how to speed up SL with still good looks.

I have also looked through the forums and google to try and find a solution.

Are you still using the original windows installation? I got my dell lappy and it was so bloated right from the box..boot up took 2 min+. The first thing I do is reinstall windows etc etc. It made a world of difference.

Maybe try rollling back some drivers and see if you can isolate one that causes the slowdown?

not to be pessimistic but every time SL updates performance has gone down, and it keep doing it, 2006 been the worst for me so far ~.~

This reminds me of the performance i had on my old pc way back when i first was in here, now i got a new pc was fast awhile, aand... now in SL its like glue slow again.
