Windows Vista/Intel Video

Ok, I spent hours searching, I log in, when the system precaches and downloads clothing SL crashes. I am running a new laptop with Vista Home premium with the Intel 965 chipset video. Does anyone have any ideas?

I happen to disagree, with you, it has worked for months on a much older system with a much older intel video card. they may not support it, but SL will run on an intel card. It is issues like this that will cost the people of SL not only my business, but the hundreds of people that are like me that can't afford to go spend two to three grand on a computer just to run their game.

you can disagree all you want, SL requires the full use of a open GL video card

It might work then, but with any new driver update or SL engine update your screwed

why waste the money to maby work, maby work badly, or just up and flake out ant not work at all

almost every notebook maker offers a mobile ati or nvidia for barley any extra cost

and 2 or 3 grand, phht you can get a dualcore p4 with ati graphics for 499$ (its not a uber pimp ati card but atleast its compliant with current standards)

its not linden labs fault you failed to read the requirements, or shopped around for a computer that meets them
