Can't download XLS file of transactions

I have reported this problem several times to LL. I can't download my linden transactions for certain days. When I go the transaction history query page and select queries which include certain dates, and then try to download the info, I get a blank page. For most days it works perfectly, on others not at all. However I can get the XML version to download. The problem is I can't figure out an easy way to convert XML to CSV. I've searched around via google and all I find is commercial products that do way more than I need.

Anyone got a quick and easy way to convert XML to CSV?

Have you tired downloading the xls (excel) versions of transactions and using query filters?

fyi, i have found that when downloading the cvs, doing it one day at a time works fine, doing multiple days seems to cause the blank page error.

As far as I can figure out, the first three options are actually ways to convert CSV and other formats to XML, not the other way around. And the last option looks like an addon for Excel. I don't use Excel, I use Open Office.

Not for me. April 16th is bugged for me. Any query including that date fails for me, including just trying to download that day.

If you apply Data filters to the columns of any excel worksheet, it automatically parses the content information into keywords, which you can select as a priority (say Date for instance), it will automatically reformat the sheet into those parameters. You can also apply custom filters.
If you can write macros, you can apply macro functions to do this in a more controlled way.

Thank you again for your suggestions. As for solutions in Excel. I don't have Excel. I have Open Office and I cannot find a way in Open Office to easily convert XML to CSV.

As to the two programs you re-linked. I downloaded both of them and tried them both. They are programs designed to export to XML, not export from XML.

As it is a comand line converter, you can download the XLS versions and convert that into XML?? Or anything remotely compatible with Open Office.

The whole point is that I cannot download the XLS version for certain dates. Open Office can directly read XLS files and I wouldn't need to convert anything if I could download the XLS version. I can only get the XML version which Open Office cannot open directly into a spread sheet.

That is why I need something that converts XML to CSV. When I downloaded that program from your link, I could not see how to do that. It appeared that it was designed to convert things to XML, not from XML. Yes the description implies that you can convert things back and forth between XML and CSV, but I could not figure it out.

If you have actually used that software to convert XML to CSV, I would appreciate it if you could confirm that and give me hints on how to do that.

sorry, I have excel so never have that problem. I trawled the internet for an hour to find suitable programmes, but not to actually test them. Try http://www.download.com they have a wealth of programmes there.
